Gopi Chandan Powder [for deity worship / tilak / face pack]

The traditional use of Gopi-chandan for devotees is to make face tilak and for use in bathing brass deities. But in India finely powdered gopi chandan is used as a face pack for increasing luster and beauty in the face. Clay was one of the earliest substances to be used as a beauty mask - probably something to do with the fact that we all have lolled about in mud as children and loved it.
